Bamboo Garden: Best Thai in Banff

Jan 24, 2015 | 0 comments

Banff is known for being an expensive place to live and play, so when a good deal happens, jump on it! Especially when it involves delicious Thai/Chinese fusion food. We dropped by Bamboo Garden located on Banff Avenue right across from Banff Square (with a great view of the temporary ice climbing wall that visitors can try!) for some lunch yesterday. We were stoked to hear they have a winter special of 2 courses for $12 going on. You can choose from a variety of appetizers (wonton soup, spring rolls or Tom Yum Soup) and then choose your main from their large selection of Thai and Chinese dishes.

We went with pretty typical dishes like Traditional Pad Thai with Shrimp and Massamun Curry- both were exceptional (huge portions too!).

We also highly recommend their Thai Iced Tea (pictured).

We topped everything off with some Mango Sticky Rice. The mangos weren’t very ripe but seeing as how they aren’t in season, I guess we couldn’t have expected much.

Overall, a wonderful (and cheap!) lunch date experience in beautiful Banff. For more travel tips, custom itineraries, photos and more visit our website at www.eliteyyc.com 🙂
