There’s a new Japanese all you can eat restaurant that just opened up about two months ago on McKnight and Edmonton Trail (addy: 511 McKnight Blvd NE), called Fusion Sushi. It has both Japanese and Thai food on the menu. WOW! Such good quality and fresh food for an all you can eat restaurant. Everything was so delicious. Prompt and polite service as well. If you want to have quick and abundant food at dinner time, go around 5-6, because when we arrived at 7:30pm, the beef tataki and few other popular items were sold out for the night ’cause more customers had filled up the restaurant. Food that was very tasty: Crab salad, miso soup, Thai tom yum soup, shrimp and vegetable tempura, sashimi, baked mussels, Thai coconut shrimp, beef spare ribs, and Thai pad thai (too filling and too big–maybe opt out of this). We kept writing away on the tiny pieces of paper what we wanted to order with repeated items we’ve already tasted ’cause the flavors were impressive and everything was very fresh. This is probably the best all u can eat sushi restaurant in yyc now. I think from what I remember, weekdays Monday-Thurs is $26/person for ayce. Fridays, the weekend, and holidays: $28/person, but there is so much quality food you can’t believe you’re eating at an all you can eat restaurant.

We were so impressed with the freshness of the food, the delicious items we ordered, and the large portions of some of the items. We ordered special sushi rolls, sashimi, deep fried scallops, and for dessert I enjoyed the green tea ice cream (this, for an AYCE restaurant, was amazing. They used a good ice cream brand), deep fried milk (delicious and I haven’t had it since going to Taiwan a few years back), and deep fried banana (wasn’t a big fan of it). BUT we were surprised that for an AYCE restaurant, they served us the entire grilled mackerel and the entire bbq grilled squid, for an AYCE restaurant. Impressed that we definitely got our money’s worth from the abundant of seafood and high quality food. We’ll definity be coming back to you for AYCE, Fusion Sushi.
